Marketing Intern — Social & Video
Company: Vieets Department: Marketing Type: Internship (full-time, or part-time min. 4 days/week) Openings: 1
Why This Role Exists
Our customers don't read brochures. They scroll. And what earns the next three seconds of their attention is almost always video.
That's why this role exists. Not to "support the marketing team" — you'll make the thing tens of thousands of people actually watch: think of the idea, shoot it, cut it, ship it, read the numbers, then make the next one better.
Right now nobody's job is to put out short-form video on a weekly rhythm. That's the gap you'd fill, and you'd own it from day one.
Don't apply to learn marketing theory. Come if you want something you made with your own hands watched by real people every single week.
Why Join Vieets
You're early in your career, and that's the point. Bring curiosity, speed, and ownership, and you'll get:
- A real channel, not a simulation — what you make goes out on Vieets' official accounts.
- The shortest feedback loop in marketing — post today, read the numbers tomorrow. Few places let someone this early in their career learn this fast.
- Direct access to the decision-maker — no three layers of approval for a caption.
- A portfolio with real numbers when you leave — not a line that says "assisted with content."
What You'll Own
- Short-form video (the core of this job) — Concept, script, shoot, and edit 15–60 second videos for TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts. End to end. A phone is a perfectly good camera if the idea is good.
- Trends, on time — Trends live in days, not months. You need to spot them early and call it fast: which ones fit Vieets, and which ones we'd look ridiculous jumping on.
- Publishing rhythm — Hold the content calendar and keep it full. Channels die of silence far more often than they die of one bad video.
- Captions and hooks — The words carry as much weight as the footage. The first-three-seconds hook is the thing you'll rewrite most often.
- Community — Reply to comments and DMs in the brand's voice. The best insights usually sit in the comment section, not in a report.
- Numbers, weekly — Which videos held attention, which ones dropped and at what second, and why. One honest conclusion beats ten rows of metrics.
How We Measure Success
- Publishing cadence — videos shipped on schedule each week. The most basic metric here, and the one most people miss.
- Retention — what share of viewers get past three seconds, and what share finish.
- Saves and shares — a more honest signal than likes. People only pass on what they think is worth passing on.
- Follower growth on the channels you own.
- Rate of learning — is this week's work better than last week's, and can you explain why.
Who You Are
Must-Haves
- Final-year student or recent graduate — any major. We care what you can make, not what you studied.
- You've published video publicly — personal account, club account, freelance work, the channel you ran for a friend's café. All count. Without links to video you've made, an application for this role will struggle.
- You can edit — CapCut is enough. Premiere / DaVinci / After Effects is a bonus, not a requirement.
- You can explain why a video holds attention — specifically: the hook, the cut rhythm, the on-screen text, the sound. Not just "it's good."
- Sharp, natural writing in Vietnamese — captions, hooks, and scripts are all writing. English is a plus for reference and research.
- Self-starting — you arrive with ideas instead of waiting to be handed a topic.
- Genuinely online — you know what Vietnamese TikTok is talking about this week without having to go look it up.
Nice-to-Haves
- Comfortable on camera, or willing to try.
- Canva / Figma for stills and thumbnails.
- You've used AI (ChatGPT, Claude, editing or voiceover tools) for real work, not just once out of curiosity.
- You've run Meta or TikTok ads, even on a tiny budget.
- Good taste in music and the instinct to pick the right track — harder to teach than editing.
This Role Is NOT for You If
- You need sign-off at every step before you'll hit publish.
- One video that underperforms discourages you from shipping the next.
- You'd rather plan than ship.
- You see "making content" as a placeholder while you wait for a different job.
Clarity now saves both of us a harder conversation later.
What You'll Get
- Monthly allowance plus performance bonuses tied to content results — we'll discuss the number with you directly.
- Equipment and tools provided for shooting and editing.
- Direct mentorship from the CEO on content strategy, hook writing, and reading data.
- A portfolio with real numbers at the end of the internship.
- A path to full-time — do this well and we keep you.
How to Apply
For this role, three good links beat a beautiful CV. Send us:
- Your CV — one page is plenty.
- 2–3 videos you made — send links. Briefly: which part was yours, and what the video achieved.
- A 30-second video, shot on your phone, answering: why should Vieets pick you? No production values needed. We're watching how you hold attention for thirty seconds, not your transitions.
- One short answer: name a brand video you thought was good recently — and say specifically what made you keep watching.
